The Sugar Cookie iced almond milk latte from Starbucks is my favorite holiday menu item. Let me show you how to make your own syrup at home! ☕️
I like almond milk, I do. But there's something about the taste of mixing nut milks in coffee I don't love. When I started ordering the Sugar Cookie iced latte with whole milk, it was perfect. The nice buttery flavor, and crunchy sprinkles are definitely needed too. I knew I needed to add the syrup recipe to my list.

The flavor is just right for the holidays and don't limit yourself to just iced lattes. This syrup is great in White Russians or to add some savor to hot chocolate. You can add a little to any kind of cookie dough too to kick up the buttery flavor.
This recipe will fill a mason jar and store in the fridge for 2 weeks. If you can't use almond extract, no biggie just add more vanilla. Almond is a pretty strong flavor so if it's usually too overpowering for you, reduce to 1/4 tsp.
Ingredients
1 cup water
2 Tbl brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
3 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp butter extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
Step 1: Boil water with sugars
Bring water, brown sugar and granulated sugar to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes. Sugars should be completely dissolved and consistency should be a little thicker.
Step 2: Add extracts
Remove from heat and add vanilla, butter, and almond extracts.
Step 3: Cool and bottle
Let the syrup cool down and then store in an airtight mason jar in the fridge for 2 weeks.

Slightly more ingredients than normal for me, but the taste is perfect and the steps are still super simple so I'm good. Follow me @spiritbeanscoffee on Instagram and Facebook for drink inspiration. Thanks for reading! 🫶🏼
